Snowball has the cutest freckled face! This 2-year-old would love to go home with an active person or family (kids suggested to be 12 or older) who will play with and snuggle him all day long! He loves going for nice long walks, and has been a very good boy on Doggy Day Outs. His favorite toy at the shelter is a rope toy, and he loves to run around with it and get all his energy out. More than anything, Snowball loves belly rubs. He will lean into you and roll right over to get all the best pets! There's got to be somebody out there who wants to snuggle this big hunk of love!
Snowball had quite a dramatic puppyhood. He was stolen when he was only 6 months old, but luckily for him, the police were on the case. They found and returned him just a few days later. He was exhausted when he got home, but quickly regained the energy and happy disposition he maintains to this day. He also became a local celebrity and was written up in the newspaper. His new owner will not only go home with a great dog, they'll get to take home a framed copy of the article, too.
According to his previous owner, Snowball has never lived with dogs, but enjoyed playing with other dogs occasionally. In the shelter he has not been a fan of other dogs, so we would need to introduce him to any other dogs carefully to ensure that it's a good match and everyone is comfortable. Snowball has no history with cats.
